Chapter 0: Where It Begins
20/06/2018
I've been wondering where to go to continue this blog. Constantly I've been rummaging for ideas to expand upon my blog but the end result seems to be nothing. Until today, where an idea arose in my head, an opportunity to develop.
Originally, this idea first came to mind when I traced back to my experiences. I first started this blog during my college days back in the summer of 2015. My blog was predominately focused on exploring Asian cultural related events, such as MCM Expo: London Comic Con which was my first post. However, as the years went by, I decided that I also wanted to add a personal touch to my blog, integrating my own interests such as the latest movie or drama recommendations. This was particularly interesting because I could explore a hobby I enjoyed, and integrate it into my writing.
But in the end, I fell short as I realised that my attempt to make a series was time-consuming and as my life got busier, it became very difficult to maintain the workload. Thus, this is where I bring in this new idea for my blog. Whilst this may be similar to the concept of a series, there is no demand for me to constantly post my personal experiences. An opportunity to work at my own pace, to share my experiences. It has always been an interest of mine to bring a concept to my blog which is innovative but also personal.
And this is where it begins. Sharing my life experiences has always been something I personally enjoyed as a writer, whether it be writing long Facebook statuses to commemorate a wonderful memory I had of a particular day, or writing an insightful piece on a topic I'm rather passionate about.
I guess we can call this a beta plan. There isn't currently a direction as to whereabouts this will go regarding my experiences, but I would like to share with my personal experiences that I've had growing up as an Asian girl in the UK. Whether this is something you can relate to, or an opportunity to open your mind to a new experience, I hope that you will be able to take away something from reading these chapters of my life.
